Channel Update #09: Are you OK?

YouTube video: Channel Update #09: Are you OK?

If you are a regular viewer of this channel, you’ll have noticed that I haven’t published a video for a while now. And frankly I look a bit like Old Man Logan.

What’s up?

So, if you are a regular viewer of this channel, you’ll have noticed that I haven’t published a video for a while now. And frankly I look a bit like Old Man Logan. It’s all pretty complicated and I won’t go into all of it, but suffice to say that one of the reasons was burnout.

I think burnout happens to pretty much every YouTuber at some stage because the drive to publish content is a recursive loop. aaand I got to the point where it was no longer any fun.

Really, the whole reason why I started YouTube was because I love;

  1. Helping people.
  2. Making stuff.
  3. And producing video content.

If the passion goes, then there’s little point publishing videos.

Movember

So, last month was Movember, which is one organisation I support that deals with men’s health issues.

Such as prostate & testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention.

It’s a time of the year where razor aren’t used for a month and men grow facial hair to help raise awareness.

One of the health issues they deal with is mental health.

This is just as important as women’s but with men we tend to not want to talk about touchy feely things. Women are naturally much better at that.

Having been through some bad times myself on several occasions I think this is pretty important.

So, I have donated all the Patron pledges I received over the last two months to the Movember organisation.

Are you OK?

I didn’t want to start a page and ask people to pledge to that.

Are you OK
Are you OK

If you’re a guy, which YouTube tells me is 99.9% of my viewer audience, then instead of donating, I encourage you to grab a six pack or two, grab your nearest mate and ask him “Are you OK?”

If he responds with, “Yeah, I’m fine.”

Then ask “Nah mate. Really. Are you OK?”

Pretty simple.

So, enough of my sulking. I reckon I need to get back into making content.

To all those people who have sent me stuff to review; I apologise for the delay, but I will publish the review video.

Should I keep the mohawk?
